Except, more and more of Quebec isn’t. And it isn’t chagrin, it’s shame and disdain. Quebec proves that racism is alive and well. And so is ethnocentrism. Quebec is an example. Of how to become nationalistic and close-minded and backward. It’s very very sad Pelletier If it’s about French names and family heritage, I could see that being about racism. If it’s purely on the level of speaking French and expecting people living in or moving to the province to speak the language of the Just a woman who loves Mickey and Christmas shirt, that’s not racism.
Just a woman who loves Mickey and Christmas shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and ladies tee
The preeminent scientific journals are in English, not in French. French disdain can be disturbing. In college I took a French conversational course from a French woman, was one of only 3 ‘A’s in the class, a week after finals I was in Paris and many pretended they could not understand me. I understand French Canadians want to keep the Just a woman who loves Mickey and Christmas shirt alive, it’s an important part of the history and culture of Québec and they’re surrounded by English speaking people in their own country and with the closest neighbor. However, not allowing two different languages in a thesis and on food items, is exaggerated and ridiculous.
I think it was part of her university thesis that was in English, not exactly proof of her proficiency in English. If English or French was required to satisfy her thesis requirements, I do not know. Nevertheless, this person was clearly capable and proficient to speak, read, and write in the Just a woman who loves Mickey and Christmas shirt language. Sad to know in Quebec there is such blatant bigotry towards the English speaking, even if a person is fluent in French. I do hope this person’s application is reconsidered.
